Don't Rush It - Gradual Is Good


In general, slow steady weight loss programmes seem to succeed over quick loss plans in the long term. This is probably because to maintain a long steady programme, you actually have to make changes in the way you think about food and accept that you are making a life-long change, not just a temporary one. One of the fastest ways to lose a lot of weight is to substitute food with liquid diet-drinks. Although some people do succeed at this, you have to be very careful about what you eat after the diet or all the weight will pile back on. Also, with a quick loss programme, your body doesn't have time to tone-up as you go along. In general, yo-yo dieting (losing a lot of weight and then putting it back on) is not good for your health.
